Maybe it was bad luck, but this item was impossible to get to me. I don't know who the company uses to ship to Amazon, bit this was my 3rd attempt to buy it. First item never shipped, second item arrived damaged box and they couldn't give it to me, so the company needs to do a better job shipping it. Now my review for the item I did get:Not gonna lie, I was s bit intimidated to use at first. I felt there were too mant parts to take out and put it back. But I did it. The coffee obviously it will depend on what beans and ground coffee you use. I bought Starbucks espresso grounded. The coffee is good and strong, the process to make it is ok, but I feel the water compartment should be a bit bigger, as you will have to repeat the process 3 or 4 times in order to get a medium size cup of coffee. It's also a bit tedious having to clean it and take everything apart, but that's part of life. I feel like the pump might give out a few months in if you're using every day as I am. We'll have to see on a future review... But so far, so goodDisclaimer: I have never used any other method besides the nespresso attachment. Ive had it with me for the past 4-months while deployed with the Marine Corps infantry. Its small and portable and WAY FASTER than the traditional way of getting my coffee fix. Like most infantrymen, I use the Meal Ready to Eat (MRE) coffee accessories (like the creamer and sugar) in addition to the Starbucks Instant Coffee. But after setting up everything and cleaning it all (properly), it would be AT LEAST 15 minutes for hot coffee. Now i just borrow a little hot water from my buddies, and we went ahead and saw how long it would take to pump out some hot coffee. Needless to say I was 3X faster in every regard: prepping (virtually non-existent), producing espresso (probably 90 seconds tops) and cleaning (a rinse and a small wipe from my towel and I was good to put it away). But thats just the speed and convenience. Gripes and Complaints? It leaks a little if it is on its side, and it sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes shoots espresso grounds into my coffee. But aside from that I approve, I even have recommended it to friends and other Marines.I had been eyeing this product for a while and while I was away from home for 5 months working, I decided to try it out. It has saved me so much money now that I can make my own lates. The espresso shots that come from this little machine are smooth and tasty with a light crema. I only suggest cleaning it out regularly and pumping hot water through through it before use so that your first espresso shot doesn’t cool off in the process of being pressed through the cold machine.Great design details; the product, packaging, instructions…well done.Very easy to use. The pump is not hard to use; I found it easy.About 34 pumps for 1 shot.I’ve pulled a few shots. I will dial it in with some practice.Great flavor! With practice I’m confident I will dial in a great creama.I purchased to use on backcountry canoe trips…can’t wait…no more instant coffee in the forest!I love coffee but I'm sensitive to caffeine so I try not to have coffee too often, which I didn't want to have a giant esspresso machine in my kitchen. I've been searching for an esspresso device for months and this caught in my eyes. All in all, I love it. Compact as I wanted, good taste and easy to clean. I can have my favorite coffee even when I travel or go camping.Bought this for camping. It is easy to use. I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. It is enough for one shot, so I make a couple cups. Don't overfill with grounds or It won't work well. My only complaint is the temp issue which is probably more of an environmental issue and less to do with the machine. I put boiling hot water in and then get lukewarm espresso out. Don't love that. But I am happy to have purchased it because it is easy to use, portable, and great when this caffeine addict is in a pinch!Fantastic portable espresso makerA month later, I find myself still grabbing this from my bag and enjoying a quick latte at work. I will say that I got the pod adapters and they work wonderfully, so I couldn't tell you how it is with actual fresh grounds. That being said, making more than one pull can be a bit arduous and it really loses the heat of hot water that you put in. If you make the water too hot, holding the bottom can leave you wishing you had grabbed it with a cloth. But for the form factor and having something to make Nespresso Pods on the go, it's honestly the best.Vamos a ver. I have no friends, but this got people talking to me in the work kitchen. I became a bit of a celebrity as people quizzed me about my magical contraption. Top tip... Make sure there's no water in the screw thread because the pressure then seems to escape when you pump. If the water's boiling in the screw thread, it'll go on your hands. No fault of the tool I think, just being sloppy. Also, don't pack the coffee really tightly in (you don't need to) as it'll struggle to pump the water through. After weeks of use, somebody pointed out that there's actually a cup attached to it- I stopped being the office celebrity Nanopress expert then.Love this. I have every method of making coffee known to man; from £1 filter to £1600 built in machine for the kitchen. This little thing now comes with me everywhere. Makes excellent espresso. Also able to buy an attachment for neaspresso capsules and a barista kit to increase capacity for 2 people.First coffee I made was a mess. Ground coffee all over the place. Took a couple of shots (excuse the pun) to get the measures right and the fee for it. Would recommend pumping hot water through first. Don’t know why, but seems to give the next cup and awesome crema!!Don’t think about it, but it!!I bought this to use while travelling on holidays. Easy to assemble, requires a fair amount of hand dexterity and strength to pump - one shot takes around thirty four pumps. The coffee is great. The process is slow. If you are making one shot for one person, then it is fine. An additional shot will take long enough to set up and pump that the first one will be too cool for most tastes.Build quality seemed satisfactory, without striking one as of a quality to justify the price. The item I had soon developed a pump fault and was returned for a refund. In all probability, I will buy another of these before travelling again, unless I can find something a bit faster and somewhat better constructed. The nanopresso and this barista kit are excellent quality. They are robust and precision made and work very well. As a doppio / barista kit, it is a bit excessive and expensive as an add on, with many unneeded parts jist stored away in the cupboard.I feel the original nanopresso should just be made upfront to make a doppio along with the option of just adding a small espresso basket for an occasional single espresso.
