I hesitate to use the word "expert," but we know a lot about coffee. For 15+ years we have carefully sourced high quality green beans and roasted them at home, and own a wide variety of brewing devices. The VacOne is one of the best and truly new products to come along in some time. Many of the "new" products are simply variations of methods in use for many years. *One might argue that the VacOne is technically a form of siphon brewing, but in no way is it a rehash of the complex and expensive siphon brewers, none of which make cold brew.*The VacOne does hot and cold brewing using a very fine grind, which is the most efficient in terms of complete infusion and cost. We use a bit of a hack, and use 30gm coffee and fill the brewer to the brim resulting in 16oz of brewed hot coffee. Efficient use of coffee, no replacing filters for every batch, and quick brewing make this product perhaps the most efficient out there in terms of time and cost. (By the way, NO THANKS to the Kcup etc.! Expensive, poor quality beverage, bad for the environment)If you are like most folks and need to get from the bed to the shower to your work as efficiently as possible, I can't think of better product. Buy good beans and get a quality coffee beverage quickly. It's much faster than waiting on line for a commercial coffee beverage. Perfect your workday morning routine and get to work on time having slept an extra half-hour! Lots of folks spend $25-40/week and 5-10/minutes per order waiting in a drive through. Pretty simple math...for a five-day work week @ 50 weeks that's $1,250 and 30-40 hours per year you won't waste. As with ALL home coffee brewing, you need good quality beans and a burr grinder. With the VacOne (and all pour over brewers), you also need a gooseneck kettle. The VacOne is a high quality brewer at a great price. Quality build, 16 month warranty. This one's a keeper.
